If there’s one thing that experienced a boom in these challenging past two years of the Covid-19 pandemic, it’s cycling. Czechia is no different as urban cycling massively increased and cities and municipalities are accelerating the construction of bike lanes. It has been proven and tested that cycling is very attractive to people if the infrastructure is of high quality. Prague, the Czech capital, took notice of this as the city pledged to invest 14 million euros towards cycle paths and other features and solutions in the spring of 2021. With a 38% increase of people on bikes just between 2019 and 2020 alone, the city is listening to the needs of its inhabitants and is on a great path to reap the benefits of cycling as a form of transport. Let’s see where the country in the heart of Europe can do better in the gallery below, though.
