Tadej Pogačar Wins Tirreno-Adriatico

The Slovenian beat van Aert by 1:03 in the final classification, also claiming the best young rider’s jersey and the mountains jersey in the process.

“That’s it! Finished the perfect week in super hard race with good TT. Thank you, UAE Team Emirates for all the help and support. We won Tirreno-Adriatico! Now finally some rest and home time,” Pogačar wrote on his Instagram account.

Wout van Aert managed to take a second-stage win of the race. However, he had to settle for second place overall. His victory was still impressive though, as he beat the European TT champion Stefan Küng and the world champion Filippo Ganna on the last day. Tadej Pogačar finished fourth.
