Schachmann defended the title
Primož Roglič was the king of the show during the 2021 Paris-Nice. However, on the very last day, he fell twice, losing the yellow on the crash-filled final stage. The Slovenian managed to get back to the peloton after the first fall but was then caught on the wrong end of a split in a bunch. The second crash cost him dearly and Schachmann deleted the 52-second gap to claim the title. In the end, Roglič lost three minutes and dropped out of the top 10.
Magnus Cort (EF Education-Nippo) won the sprint to claim the stage, successfully holding off Christophe Laporte (Cofidis).
