The Slovenian is confident
The 30-year-old Jumbo-Visma pro was interviewed by ciclo21 and when asked whether he considered himself the big favourite for the Tour, Roglič simply replied: “Yes.”
“You already know what I mean. The best rider will win,” Roglič said. “We are all going to fight to get it and, if you look at my results from the last few seasons, you will see that I have won a few races. Therefore, I see no reason not to be optimistic.”

However, there are other riders who fancy having a go at the Tour.
“The only appointment I’ve set myself is the Tour de France and until then every week I’m just going to keep chipping away. Every race building up to July, and hope that come that start line in Nice in July I’ll be ready to go,” says the four-time winner Chris Froome.
“I think at the end of the day the Tour is the Tour and I just wanted to give it one more good go,” Geraint Thomas admits. “From the start it’s very challenging, up and down, every two or three days there’s a tough day. It’s different in that respect, there aren’t the traditional flatter days. That’ll be exciting.”
We shouldn’t forget about other big names. Bernal, Alaphilippe, Dumoulin, Kruijswijk, Buchmann. The 2020 Tour is shaping up to be a really big one.
Hope you enjoyed the weekend
