Bob Jungels Wins Kuurne-Brussels-Kuurne and Other Cool News from the World of Cycling

By Monica Buck

Another Monday is here and our news from the world of cycling with it. So, what did you miss?

Jungels does it again

Following Zdeněk Štybar’s win at Omloop Het Nieuwsblad, the Luxembourg pro sealed a perfect weekend for the Belgian team of Deceuninck – Quick-Step. Last year, Quick-Step already had an impressive 13 wins at this time of the season, in 2019, however, they have already bagged 16.

Similarly to his winning attack at last year’s Liège-Bastogne-Liège, Bob Jungels attacked with roughly 18 km to go. With many Deceuninck – Quick-Step riders in the chasing group, the real poursuivants stood no chance. In the end, Owain Doull managed to take second place, while Niki Terpstra claimed third.
