Start-up Hexo offers a new kind of helmet
Finding a helmet that really fits can be a struggle. Manufacturers usually go with a universal shape, which just can’t suit everyone. However, a new British start-up Hexo found a way around that. They use a scanning app to make a 3D scan of your head. That way you can order a helmet to fit you perfectly.

But the positives don’t stop there. Hexo then 3D prints the helmet using a hexagonal honeycomb cell inner shell. The structure is supposed to be 68% better at controlling impact forces than the conventional polystyrene foam. It is also supposed to be more aerodynamic. According to Hexo, you can gain 10 seconds over a 40km time trial in comparison to Giro Aether and Kask Protone.
