Fabio got a new kit
The UAE Team Emirates rider has been issued a new team jersey after the public got very angry with the last one. Many fans deemed the former jersey unacceptable as the Italian tricolour was pushed far down below a large sponsor’s logo.
Aru quickly responded that it wasn’t the final design of the jersey and a couple of days later posted a picture of himself on a training ride wearing the new jersey. The tricolour is now higher up and the sponsor’s logo much smaller. Will the fans be satisfied, though? Let us know your thoughts!

Irish police under scrutiny
Which is more dangerous: a bike running a red light or a car parked in a cycle lane? This deliberately divisive poll showed up on the An Garda Síochána Twitter account on Thursday and has been since criticised by both cycling campaigners and politicians. We all know that cars and bikes ought to coexist on public roads and mutual respect is the right thing to strive for. Yet the social media manager in question seems to think that one illegal action might be somehow different from another illegal action.
“Appallingly ill-conceived and deliberately divisive tweet from our national Garda Traffic Unit,” Ciaron Cannon, Minister of State for the Diaspora who previously campaigned for legal protection of cyclists against close passes, commented on the post.
However, the Garda Traffic Unit refused to apologise. They released a statement saying they were just “trying to highlight road safety and get people talking about it” and that there was no “us vs them involved”.
What do you think about it? Should a police force post such polls?
