Dog vs. peloton
A video of a surprise visitor during an Italian Gran Fondo went viral last week for understandable reasons. The dog took on the competition and despite the efforts of the riders on motorbikes to chase him off, the canine managed to stay ahead of the pros for a pretty long time!
Lance is still positive
Or he does at least have a positive outlook on life. Which is definitely not easy when you’re facing a $100m lawsuit.

Romain Bardet disqualified
The Frenchman had a truly bad day. First he was caught out as the race was split in crosswinds and then he crashed. The weather was extremely harsh, and Bardet took an illegal car tow, which was recorded from a helicopter. Following the disqualification, the 26-year-old took to Twitter to express his apology.
“I am deeply sorry for my actions because nothing justifies taking advantage of the excessive assistance I received from the team car for mechanical repairs. This practice, too often tacitly accepted within the peloton, must now be guarded against in order to ensure the integrity of our sport. I sincerely apologise to the organisers and the fans.”

All or nothing in case of disc brakes?
With Owain Doull’s crash in the Abu Dhabi Tour, it seems the debate about disc brakes is not going away anytime soon. And after the Strade Bianche on Saturday, even the world champion decided to weigh in.
Peter Sagan believes the peloton can’t have just a few riders using disc brakes.
“If we use them, the entire group needs to use them, not just one person.”

That is what 40% of pros believe. These riders are for banning disc brakes till a better solution comes up. Nevertheless, the CPA continues in the efforts to force the UCI to prohibit disc brakes altogether.
