Wout van Aert defends the title
The Belgian was once again crowned the men’s World Cyclocross Champion on Sunday. He beat Mathieu van der Poel in a dramatic race after the Dutch rider had suffered a few punctures.
“I had to face a lot mentally and it’s not always easy to keep my focus on the race, but I made it and I’m very proud of my team,” van Aert told cyclingweekly.co.uk after securing his second title.
