“We hope these bikes will bring their new owners as much joy riding them, as helping these causes always brought him,” commented the Williams family on the auction.
Robin was a true cycling enthusiast. He appeared at the Tour de France as a spectator many times and over the course of life amassed a collection of over 100 bicycles. 87 of those appear in the ongoing auction (closes Oct 25, 1 PM ET), and there are some really cool ones in there.
Road machines from Specialized, Pinarello, Zipp, Cervelo, De Rosa, Litespeed, Giant, Colnago, Merlin, Bianchi, Kestrel, Calfee, Look, Casati, Trek, Orbea, Taylor, BMC, Cervelo, Fondriest, Pegoretti, Cannondale, Independent Fabrication, Masi, Merckx, Lynskey, Serotta, Delta 7 and Ritchey are all included. Plus there are several mountain bikes, cruisers and touring bikes.
