Nibali wins Giro d’Italia
The 99th Giro d’Italia is over and Vincenzo Nibali from Astana took home the overall victory. After all the crashes, which happened on the wet surface during the final stage of the race, he only needed to finish.
Giacomo Nizzolo had won the first Grand Tour stage win of his career, but was later relegated due to an irregular sprint. The Italian has nearly 30 top-10 placings to his name, but still misses the long wanted victory.

The Queen of Pain on Mt. Kilimanjaro
The seven-time world champion Rebecca Rusch and the adventurer Patrick Sweeney summited Mount Kilimanjaro together to raise awareness for the non-profit organization World Bicycle Relief. They rode, carried, and pushed their bikes to the summit at 19,341 feet and now hope to raise one dollar for each foot of elevation. That would mean 131 new bikes for students in Africa.
