Cyclists chased by an ostrich
Ready for the funniest thing you’ll see today?
“We came down to South Africa for the Cape Argus Tour. It is the biggest cycling event in the world, probably. On Friday, to stretch out the legs we went on pre-race ride to the Cape of Good Hope. The road by the ocean side was quiet and a lille deserted. Suddenly, I spotted a white ostrich on my left, then this beast jumped on the road from the right and started chasing my friends! It was a little scary at first, but then I thought I gonna fell of my bike from laughter. The ostrich didn’t have any problem to keep up at 50km/h and apparently they do 70km/h with no sweat,” wrote Oleksiy Mishchenko to the video, he uploaded on YouTube, and the whole story went instantly viral.
“Luckily the creature decided to leave us alone, as we were running out of road. The Cape of Good hope is a dead end way. My guess he wanted to show off in front of his girlfriend, I bet she was very impressed!” he added.
Burglars targeted Chris Boardman’s home
Eight precious bikes of the former world and Olympic champion were stolen from his Wirral home last week. The burglars forced entry to the garage and it seems like they knew exactly what to look for. The Merseyside police appealed for help from people to find these stolen bikes:
Two electric Gtech eBike City bikes, with black electric battery packs on the frame and Gtech light sets, Boardman Junior Mountain bike with disc brakes, Boardman Hybrid Pro with Continental hybrid tyres and Halfords light set, Boardman Hybrid Pro (aluminium with carbon forks), two Boardman Pro 29er bikes, Boardman SLR Disc Di2 with carbon frame and forks and Shimano Dura-ace electric brakes.
If you know anything that could help catch these thieves, please, contact the police.
Cyclist lost his life after riding into a seven-year-old pothole
Ralph Brazier’s death could have certainly been prevented. The 52-year-old tech entrepreneur hit a three-inch–deep pothole in Weybridge, Surrey, which was repeatedly reported to the local council, as far back as 2009.
“There was a hole in the road, that’s all we know. He’s left three lovely children and a bereaved wife,” said a relative to standard.co.uk and added that Brazier had no known medical condition.
Within 24 hours of the incident, the pothole was covered with fresh tarmac.

To cut or not to cut
Peto Sagan shocked his fans last week with a new and rather unusual haircut. You really wouldn’t be that surprised if he actually did this, right? Well, “unfortunately” it’s a work of a talented group of make-up artists, who prepared Peter this way for a role in a Slovak commercial…
