Heartbreaking Search for a Stolen Bike
An unusual search for a stolen bike went viral last week, and the whole cycling community is trying to help. Are you wondering why? Well, it’s because the victim is five-year-old River Majster and the bike was his beloved Christmas gift, that was stolen on the very first occasion he got to ride it.
“He was obviously crushed. He was very, very disappointed that the bike was gone. He just got the bike for Christmas too. We said ‘don’t worry we’ll get you another bike.’ Really it isn’t about the bicycle itself, because he can have another bike. It’s really about showing respect for other peoples’ property. I thought nobody is going to take a kid’s bike,” said Greg, River’s father.
The boy didn’t want a new bike, though. He wanted the one he got for Christmas and so he started his own search for it, drawing pictures of it to post around the neighbourhood.
“I don’t want to shame anybody. I don’t know what their situation is. I’m even willing to give a $20 reward for bringing it back, no questions asked. Just for doing the right thing,” said Greg to the CityNews.

Mt. Washington Ascent
Tim Johnson became the first person to ever bike up Mt. Washington Auto Road in winter. The mountain is known for the world’s worst weather. The highest wind speed ever recorded was 231 mph. Tim ascended 1,306 meters in 49mph wind and in -28 degrees Celsius. Well done, sir!
