Giant-Alpecin riders hospitalized
A car reportedly collided with six cyclists from the German WorldTour team and some of them must have been air-lifted to the hospital due to the seriousness of their injuries. Rivalry was set aside in this matter and many pros wished John Degenkolb and the others a speedy recovery.
“During the training ride a car coming the other direction rode into the group of riders head on. The riders were riding side by side on their own side of the road. All the riders involved in the crash went to two hospitals and all of them are in stable condition,” said the team`s official statement.
Spanish media reported that the car involved in the accident was driven by a British national and has indeed strayed onto the wrong side of the road.

The Slovakian superstar Peter Sagan has been spotted at Tour de San Luis rocking a very unusual look for a professional cyclist – hairy legs. Everybody seemed to have noticed and a picture of him made the rounds on the internet. Sagan still didn`t seem to care but his fellow cyclists were up for some good-natured ribbing.
Nibali strikes back
Sagan`s former teammate Vincenzo Nibali was the first one to make a joke and gave Peter a very thoughtful present. The razor was well received as you can see in the video below.
Froome wary of disc brakes in the peloton
The UCI allowed teams to use disc brakes as they wish in the 2016 season but not everyone is happy about it.
“I tried them on mountain bikes but not on the road bike. However, as a matter of safety, I say that they should be used by everyone or no one at all. Having a group with different brake systems would increase the dangers,” told Chris the La Gazzetta dello Sport and you can understand what he means.
